The headline conversion uses a consistent 40 × 52 baseline. A different schedule changes total paid hours, so the alternate example below keeps the rate constant and changes only time worked.
Weekly hours have an especially visible effect here, so compare the standard estimate with a part-time schedule before budgeting.
A 30-hour week contains one quarter fewer hours than the 40-hour baseline, even though the hourly rate stays unchanged. That makes the alternate example useful for part-time planning. Monthly results remain gross averages, and actual cash flow still depends on the employer pay cycle and deductions applied to each check.
