How to read this estimate
The 52-week estimate is a consistent benchmark. If some weeks are unpaid, a second schedule gives a more realistic gross-pay planning figure.
Use the alternate schedule to account for unpaid time off instead of assuming every week of the year is paid.
Four unpaid weeks remove four complete weekly pay amounts from the standard projection. That is different from paid vacation, which normally remains part of annual gross pay. Before choosing the weeks input, check whether scheduled holidays, shutdowns, or seasonal breaks are paid, partially paid, or excluded from compensation.
