How to read this estimate
The 52-week estimate is a consistent benchmark. If some weeks are unpaid, a second schedule gives a more realistic gross-pay planning figure.
At $20 per hour, each unpaid 40-hour week reduces gross annual pay by $800.
The standard $41,600 annual estimate includes 52 paid weeks. With two unpaid weeks off, the same rate produces $40,000. A 30-hour week over 52 weeks instead produces $31,200. Use the scenario that matches your paid schedule. Paid vacation should stay in the weeks count, and overtime premiums are not included.
